A leading metals manufacturer was facing challenges in freight cost and delivery estimates. Their team relied on basic spatial analytics, calculating straight-line distances between warehouses and shipping destinations across the country. Unfortunately, this approach was not only oversimplified but led to inaccurate drive time and cost estimates, impacting both forecasting and customer expectations.

The Solution:

We integrated TomTom API capabilities to enrich their freight datasets with precise drive-time data for freight. By differentiating metrics for trucks versus cars, the company achieved accurate estimates that factored in real-world road conditions—crucial for long-haul routes. The outcome was transformative: they improved forecasting for freight costs and enhanced customer satisfaction with more reliable delivery timelines, especially for cross-country shipments. This solution has now become a critical asset in their logistics planning, driving both efficiency and improved service performance.

Building Customer Segmentation for Strategic Marketing

A construction company wanted to deepen its understanding of its residential customers, aiming to better target high-value segments. Previously, they had limited visibility into their customer base, leaving marketing and sales teams without the insights needed for strategic planning.

Leveraging Experian data, we built a customer segmentation model that provided essential metrics—such as length of residence, household income, and homeowner status.
